Geraint Bater has praised Mangotsfield United's players for the spirit they showed to overcome the latest setback in a difficult season.
Bater's father Phil resigned as manager last week following differences over next season's playing budget, with Scott Hendy and Bater junior being placed in charge until the end of the campaign.
The upheaval did not stop Mangotsfield extending their unbeaten run to eight games over the Easter weekend, with a 1-1 draw at Taunton last Saturday being followed by a derby win over Paulton.
"The players were fantastic over the weekend," said Geraint. "Everyone was bitterly disappointed that my dad decided to leave the club. He did a great job and was one of the reasons that a lot of the players remained loyal to the club when things were difficult earlier on in the season.
"To draw at Taunton and then to beat Paulton just shows the sort of quality, character and togetherness we have."
Mangotsfield travel to struggling Wimborne today without the suspended Kyle Tooze.
Mangotsfield Utd (from): Astley, Parrinello, Hoyle, Marshall, Colborne, Parker, Rendall, Page, Keats, Piotrowski, Palmer, Bater.
Assistant manager Michael Meaker has warned his Yate Town players to 'buck up their ideas' following a disappointing Easter programme.
The Bluebells host Bridgwater today and Meaker said: "The last two performances haven't been anywhere near the standards that myself and (manager) Rob (Cousins) believe the players are capable of and we've told the players that they'll need to buck up their ideas."
Tom Warren, Mark Badman and Dave Stone return for Yate, while Josh Turner is back in contention for Bridgwater.
Yate (from): Dempsey, Mings, Purnell, Thomas, Groves, Vahid, Stone, Cox, Knighton, Meaker, Mackie, Adams, Cousins, Nicholls.

Clevedon Town travel to Halesowen today before playing the second leg of their Red Insure Cup final at Banbury on Tuesday.
Manager Mickey Bell said: "We targeted 40 points a month or two back and I think we can pick up seven points from our last three games to achieve that."
Clevedon (from): Mellor, Muggeridge, Fisher, Mills, Kingdon, Henderson-Hudson, Ricketts, Clarke, Best, Brown, McKenna, Geeson, Edwards-Samuels, Flurry, Hemmings, Thorne, Moss, Teale, Walker, Rich, Kington.
Paulton Rovers are without banned defenders Marcus Mapstone and Scott Brice for the visit of promotion-chasing Hungerford Town, but midfielder Josh Jeffries returns from suspension.
Paulton (from): Phillips, Tovey, Allward, Osman, Bryant, Mahdi, Jeffries, Loxton, Billing, Gay, Cleverley, Lacey, Davidson, Bicknell, Park.
Bishop's Cleeve face play-off chasing North Leigh with boss Alex Sykes keen for his side to maintain the form that saw them beat Cinderford.
"It can be difficult at this time of the season to motivate the players when you're in mid-table and have nothing really to play for," Sykes said.
"The players are probably sick and tired about me banging on about getting 58 points, but that's our target and we want to get there."
Taunton Town will be without Peter Knox for today's home match against Didcot.
Darren Rice and Ross McNab are also sidelined.
Taunton Town (from): Matthews, C Veal, Short, P Veal, McGrath, Legg, Vance, Redrup, Ingram, Taswell, Marsh, Lewis, Legg, Painter, Plant, Towler, Butler, Mercieca.
