Former Georgia correctional officer admits abuse

ATLANTA (AP) ? A former Georgia correctional officer has pleaded guilty to a civil rights violation involving the beating of prisoners. The U.S. Justice Department announced that 24-year-old Willie Redden of Albany pleaded guilty Monday to conspiring with other correctional officers at Macon State Prison in Oglethorpe to violate the civil rights of inmates.
